Just like the Alesis ProTrack, the GoStudio allows you to use your iPod as a hard drive. Unfortunately it only allows recording in 16-bit 44.1khz, but it has two built-in mics for stereo recording as well as hybrid XLR-1/4 inch plugs. The best part is that it's only $120. Photo courtesy of Belkin July 15th, 2008 -I'm surprised that it took so long to create a product like this. The BreakFree is essentially two magnetic pieces that hold your patch cable in place. Riffing on the same idea as the magnetic power adapters on Apple laptops, the cables are only kept in by magnets which means that accidental disconnection does not damage the plugs.
