December 3rd, 2009 – A couple days ago, I asked how you used Reason. I wondered how a piece of software that didn’t support importing whole stems of audio was useful by itself. Well, I’ve just seen a video that showed how well integrated Reason is with Record.
I don’t know why Propellerhead hadn’t pushed the Reason integration angle more before. I was part of the Record beta testing and the tutorial videos mostly showed how to record a track (which works just like any other DAW). Check out the video below by Mocean Worker. He shows how well Reason and Record work together. The audio stretching by BPM looks like an especially powerful feature, especially since it’s so easy to use.

You mean to say you were totally unaware Reason devices (and song projects) were accessible within Record?
The high quality time stretching was one of the unique selling points of Record. Its a completely new algorithm which doesn’t have artefacts. Its the best sounding one on the market.

No, I was aware of the possibility of integration but I didn’t know that it was so tight. The time stretching is great between the two products…much better than in Logic which is what I use normally.
