November 3rd, 2009 – Many artists are choosing to release their music completely digitally these days, but there is still a case to be made for pressing physical CD’s. For one, many fans want to have a physical object that represents their hard-earned dollars. As well, some people in the music industry aren’t particularly internet savvy (you don’t say!) and don’t know how, or don’t want, to visit the various sites you may have created an online EPK (electronic press kit) on.
I’ve been looking around at CD pressing services and found Kufala. They may not be the cheapest around (although they’re definitely cheaper than any place local to me), but their prices are more than reasonable and they allow counts as small as one CD. This is pretty important for those of us who don’t want to have to buy a 500 CD minimum. As well, they use eco-friendly packaging which is not only good for the environment, it looks great.
What services have you used? Were you satisfied by the end result?

These guys look pretty cool. The place I’ve used for low volume is called http://www.cdprintexpress.com. They’re awesome, and pump out stuff that looks totally pro for cheap!
