October 2nd, 2009 – Novation has launched a new Ableton Live controller, the Launchpad, that apes the look of a Monome. Essentially a stripped down APC40, the Novation comes in at the oh-so-sweet pricepoint of $200. If you already have the full version of Ableton Live, or Ableton Studio, getting this controller to supplement your set up is a no brainer.
For those who already have an APC40, and are looking for even more trigger buttons, you’ll also want to take a look at the Launchpad. Peter over at CreateDigitalMusic got a demo unit and put it through its preliminary paces. Check out his post linked below for an in depth look.

This will be mine I think. It will complement perfectly my setup, especially the BCR2000.
@ Sebastien Orban : Let me know how it goes! I like that it’s MIDI compliant from the start. It’ll only be a matter of time until the Monome software is mapped to it too!
