August 29th, 2009 – For those of you who are fans of Röyksopp, remixes of their work are no surprise. There are so many remixes of their tracks, that you could create an entire album of them (in fact, there’s a fan-created one circulating on torrent sites that you can download). For those of you unfamiliar with Röyksopp’s sound, they are an electronic duo with a strong house influence.
To drum up some press for their latest album, they’ve released the “Tricky Tricky” stem files for you to download and remix. For each of six listed countries, a winner will get a copy of Ableton Live. Not the biggest prize, but then again it’s less about the prize as it is the connections you could make from your work. I’ve embedded a video of one of my favorite Röyksopp songs below.
