A link about it : http://rme-audio.de/products_fireface_uc.php

And I do think other interface can already it 192khz (can't find one from Motu nor Presonus, so you're probably right ! Wow ! I was not even aware of that...). Even if, as you've devellop in the next post, it's not of signifiant use for most people.

@Peter Kirn : I haven't had too much experience with the brands people purport to be better than Apogee for conversion, but I suspect some of the animosity is due to the anti-fanboyism of whatever is perceived to be "the standard". Sort of like people who constantly rag on Apple. Honestly, they're all just tools...people can use whatever they want.

@Sebastien Orban : Cool...I haven't seen any USB cards that can handle that high sample rates yet. Good to see that companies are expanding on USB. Can't wait to see what they do with USB 3.0

The future RME on USB (in fact a fireface 400, more or less) will have a low latency, and 192khz. Seem that the time of rethinking about how usb work is coming. And FAST.

Yeah, exactly -- glad I'm not alone here. I mean, obviously, if the I/O configuration isn't what you need, it's a non-starter -- so that's the easy part of this question. ;) But I have tremendous respect for the engineers at Apogee; they really do seem to know what they're doing.
