May 23rd, 2009 – Tired of guitar contests that require you to already have guitar skills to win a guitar? After all, if you had a guitar and were already good enough to win the contest, why would you need the contest guitar? Well other than to add another one to the collection I guess. Gibson is running a contest where you could win an Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul GX, which is a beautiful hand-rubbed black cherry wood Les Paul body. On top of all that, the contest winner gets a year of online guitar lessons via GuitarTricks.com.
Enter at the link below before June 18th, 2009. Unfortunately for me, this contest is only available to US residents. All you need to do is provide your email address and address information.

Wow this is a great contest! I only wish I had the money right now to buy a new Gibson guitar. Many of my friends have them and I always ask them if I can play their guitar while we are hanging out. Angus Young plays Gibson SG so you know its a great brand.

@Richard Somers : Thanks for stopping by! The SG is an awesome guitar. I have the Epiphone version of the SG. It was actually the first guitar I bought!

@Ray Whiteside : Electric acoustic are great. A guitarist in one of my old bands used his electric-acoustic as his main guitar so he had it going through all sorts of distortion. He definitely had to be a little more careful of feedback though.
