April 5th, 2009 – Proving once again that none of my ideas are exclusive, DJ TechTools has released for pre-order the MidiFighter, a controller which includes a matrix of buttons (in a mini-Monome style), LED’s, and little joystick toggles. This is exactly what I had planned to do once I purchased a MIDIDIY or UMC32, but I hadn’t gotten further than drunkingly stating my intentions to that barstool last month. If those LED’s flash to the button presses, I’ll know DJ TechTools is reading my mind. Get out of my head! Get out!!!

It’s a delicious and very polished piece of kit. I’m still going to build one, in spite of those mind-reading wizards. There’s no word on price, but pop over to DJ TechTools to find out more.

For those of you who tried to access the site earlier and could not, I apologize. Apparently someone who shares the same server space was abusing the bandwidth. He has been smacked down, and we’re back in business. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
