February 10th, 2009 – “Digitize Me” is a short (10 minute) documentary that gives a primer to the digital versus analog debate in music. While I’m sure the information contained within isn’t news to many of you, there are still some cool tidbits in there. I especially liked the shots in the record pressing plant. Watching melted vinyl get pressed is almost magical. It’s like watching people fold taffy by hand.

  1. Super cool stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Your timing is spookily good, as I’ve been thinking about re-hooking up my turntable lately. I still have TONS of vinyl, and I miss the experience of putting a record on, dusting it, gently placing the needle into the groove, the slipping into a groove myself.

  2. @Jeff : Good timing for me as well…I’m about to go cannibalize my parent’s vinyl stash
