December 17th, 2008 – My new hero jetdaisuke who last showed us how to turn our Nintendo DS Lite into a talkbox via the Korg DS-10 and a straw, has returned with another video featuring another delicious Korg product, the microKORG XL. The microKORG XL is an update to the classic microKORG and both have the signature microphone for all-night vocoding sessions. 90′s west coast hip hop here I come! It looks like an impressive piece of kit. There are lots of cool new features, and interesting doodads, but I’m blinded by the vocoder and jetdaisuke’s neon outfit; do you need any more reason to buy one? No word on price but it should be available in early 2009. Needless to say, this is definitely one piece of gear that I’d love to add to the collection.

my microKorgXL came today….lol. a bit late ( Feb. 14th ended up April 6th ) but worth the wait! I LOVE IT! great sounds and set up. I LOVE the retro look. HUGE sound…BOOM………. this is a beasty! looks good and works well with my blofeld and SH-201.
think i will go play it again…
