October 29th, 2008 – A couple months ago, I was searching for music by an obscure hip-hop producer when I stumbled across Soulshine.org. Soulshine offers free mixes of down-tempo music to relax to. The website owner, Tony Nolan, is a web designer but also a music fan and creates great mixes that really feel right together.
He hasn’t posted in a few months, but you can still download his previous mixes. If you’re into down-tempo or more reflective house music (I’m not a huge house-head but I hear great songs every so often), definitely check it out. I found a lot of great artists through his mixes. If you have the time to navigate through his legacy posts, his “Laidback Niceness” series of mixes is pure niceness indeed.
