September 7th, 2008 – According to a British study (those Brits have studies for everything!), there is a correlation between your personality and your musical tastes. Of course, everyone knows that, but now you have a study to back up your brave talk in the forum flame wars. What’s interesting about their findings, is that the personality traits for each type of music may surprise you. Here are a couple of the more interesting examples:

Indie – low self-esteem, creative, not hard-working, not gentle

Rock/Metal – low self-esteem, creative, not hard-working, not outgoing, gentle, at ease

Hey violent indie kids, don’t hurt me please. I’m just a simple, outgoing Blues/Soul guy, living in a Chart Pop world. Do you think this list is accurate?
