September 13th, 2008 – One of the ways people in the PC world of audio have it better than Mac users, is that there are a multitude of free plug-ins available to them. More often than not, these free plug-ins are not available in VST or AU formats, leaving Mac users out in the cold.

apulSoft has ported over to Mac friendly formats some fantastic free Windows plug-ins. Of special interest to me was the Chip32 plug-in which allows you to create 8-bit sounds for your Legend of Zelda remix. If you have a Mac, check it out! If you have a PC, you already were able to get these plug-ins but have a look to see what you should be downloading for Windows.
