July 12th, 2008 – Ding ding ding! And the prize for the first to use the Tenori-On as a gimmick are 3 young women from the UK. “The Tenorions” were put together by Jason Air and went from Youtube, to television and club appearances. Two of them allegedly write music, while another joins them for live performances. Reading Youtube comments and posts on their website, you’d think they were wildly innovative and game-changing. They’re hyped up as some sort of Pussycat Dolls/Tiesto fusion, but watching the videos will prove otherwise. They bob up and down with barely feigned interest. Honestly, it’s one of the most boring things I’ve ever seen; I would compare it to watching a 10 year old playing a DS Lite while standing. Still, I’m jealous that they have 3 Tenori-Ons, while I have none. The Tenorions = 1, Me = 0.

Stage presence can be excused (although they sholdn’t be) but I think they should have a point deducted for terrible beats.
